Twist Commando turns a Midi Fighter Twister into a control surface for macOS. Set your volume, ride a UA Console send, dim the lights or skip a track, and the LED rings always show where things stand.

Section 1 — Briefing

Three orders. That’s the drill.

01Assign

Give each knob a job.

Pick what a knob controls from the menu bar window: a volume, a Console channel, a light. Four banks of sixteen, each knob with an optional Shift layer.

02Control

Turn it. Press it.

Turning adjusts, pressing toggles: mute, play, lights on. Hold, double-press or push-and-turn to do something else entirely.

03Report

The rings report back.

Rings and switch colours follow every value, even when you change it on screen or in another app. The Twister is never out of step.

Hold. Turn. Release.

A Wheel knob opens a radial menu in the middle of your screen, like a game’s weapon wheel. Hold the knob, turn to an item and let go.

Load it with up to seven apps, shortcuts, key presses, commands or audio outputs. Or make it macOS’s own app switcher.
